Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
This is your time to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top-rated models will be available during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts as high as 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's smartest robot floor cleaner vacuum to date. Its biggest advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. It makes use of AI to identify objects like charging cords and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you a picture of any object it encounters to let you know to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt effortlessly and leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't sweep areas you do not want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop by speaking to it.
Its design is also an improvement over the rest with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base automated vacuum Dirt Disposal System automatically empty and is ideal to speed up cleaning.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ was quick to eliminated dirt, dust and hair from pets. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one location rather than sending it scattering all over the floor. It even managed to capture sand and small gravel which other robots can't. It did all of this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shed.
The j7+, though not as smart as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and isn't able to clean the stairs, it's an option for those who require both mopping and vacuum. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however we've found it be less reliable than other apps that use robotic Vacuum cleaner comparison cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and often it's hard to determine whether the update is functioning until you've seen it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the best choice is probably hybrid. This category of bots typically comes with a built-in tank for water, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your house simultaneously. These bots also come with various additional features such as smart mapping and small object avoidance and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but they often lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock is one of our most loved robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and while it's not equipped with certain features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing sacrifice a bit to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeable soft around obstacles like wall legs and table legs which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning dust bunnies, which is a problem where cheaper robot vacuums often be a bit sloppy. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is superb too, with very little missed corners and along walls.
The Q5+, just like other Roborock products can be controlled with a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock App. With the app you can begin and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones, and alter your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.
If you select the Q5+ model, it includes a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed, emptying the bin is done easily. It features a large LCD screen which is helpful when setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This isn't an essential feature for the majority of people, but it's one that will aid in keeping track of the maintenance intervals for your robot easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design is among the best in the industry however it's quite expensive.
The base station is attractive and hides it when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The main reason to buy the station is that it automates many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots would leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot fully charged and clean.
Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's the only robot vacuum I've tried that does an excellent job of removing debris from bare floors. And it's not as loud as the expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the home. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as some competitors, and it doesn't have a dock that allows you to create an area for cleaning robots that is specifically designed for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent option for those looking for a vacuum robot that can do it all.
However, if you're looking to save some cash, or just don't care about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of alternatives on the market which include a variety of eufy models priced substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers an identical experience on the app with more features like stair climbing, a full-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac g30
Eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums with the right combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of hard and carpet floors, as well as a mopping function for a low cost. It's simple to set up, simply connect one of the side brush and then turn it on. Then plug in your charging dock. The app guides you through a few steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be located near an outlet with enough space to move.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be precise It will fit under many couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is less flashy than some of the rival models, and features a sleek black finish and three physical buttons: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
The main characteristic that distinguishes the G30 apart from its competitors is the method it cleans. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the non-movable objects that are in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. When it's time to recharge, it will automatically return to its base and resumes cleaning from where it began.
The eufy G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, has similar battery life and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It has a bigger dust bin, which does not require the same amount of emptying. It also has boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and it struggles less with bulky materials like cereal.
