What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

Costs

It takes time to upgrade an item. It can take 8 hours, depending on the magnitude of the upgrade. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated by using the new ilvl of the item bonus, perks, as well as other properties. This calculation determines the new Armor Class bonuses, damage dice, as well as other vital statistics. It is also possible to add a range of additional materials to the upgrade, increasing the chance of success. The materials are displayed in a separate window above the + button. There are however limitations to this, and the maximum amount of material that can be added is displayed just above the + button in the UI.
Another method to increase the chance of an upgrade achieving success is to use an item level upgrade known as the Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item can be useful if your weapon or piece is nearing or has reached the highest level of its tier. This item upgrader mod lets you upgrade the equipment to the next tier without the risk of breaking.
If an upgrade is unsuccessful, the system will be returned to its original condition. This is typically an error, but it can also be an upgrade. It is an excellent idea to save an upgrade for when you're close to the maximum capacity of an item, and then use it as an emergency.

You can also choose a safeguard that will protect your product in the event of a failure. The safeguard is not free however, the cost will be lower than purchasing a new item. The safeguard is only available once per upgrade, and is not a valid expiry date unless it is used again.
The interface for the item upgrader can be a bit confusing, but it is not impossible to navigate. The main menu is displayed on the left, and the upgrade window is displayed on the right. The arrows to the left of the UI indicate the different stages in the upgrade process. Click the question mark icon to receive assistance if you're not sure what you're doing.
