Selecting a Stroller
Strollers are a baby's best friend--they allow parents to easily take their kids around the city or explore the great outdoors or stroll through crowded malls. It's important to choose the best stroller for your child and your family. To select a stroller that's right for you, first consider where you'll be using it and how often. Do you need it to travel on rough terrain, fit in a compact single stroller car trunk or navigate narrow doorways? Consider whether you will be taking it on city walks or hiking in the woods. After you've chosen the type of stroller you want and features you'd like, you can test drive different models.
Start by doing some laps in the parking lot. This will allow you to get used to the way it moves. If you plan to use it for jogging, test the durability of the wheels and how they perform on uneven and bumpy pavements. Then, consider if you need an extra storage basket to store essentials or a reclining chair for babies. Be sure that the handlebars fit your stride comfortably and there is enough room for a child of your size to sit in the seat.
Next, if you're planning to have more children in the near future, think about investing in one stroller that converts into a double or allows you to add a stroller board (for toddlers). Babylist parents tell us one of their biggest stroller regrets is not buying the convertible model when they had the opportunity.
If you're planning to use the stroller in the rainy season or other weather conditions ensure that the accessories such as sun umbrellas and rain covers can be attached quickly and easily. Be sure to consider safety. Look for a five-point harness system that is easy to buckle and unbuckle and secure seating and robust brakes. Examine the hinges for any sharp edges or places where fingers could get stuck. Verify that the stroller meets local and state safety regulations. Then make sure to test it with your child to make sure you both are comfortable.

They're also generally more flexible and have fewer parts that may break.
If your baby is small and is still in a car seat that is for infants A stroller that is all-in-one with an infant carrier built-in could be the perfect choice for you. Strollers for Two Children
If you have two small children A double stroller is essential to help you transport both of them simultaneously. There are many options available, including tandems, side-byside strollers and wagons. Many of the dual strollers we tested are able to accommodate an additional child seat or even a third when you add a piggyback ride-along board (sold separately). Tandem strollers offer more configurations for different ages and stages than side-by-side models however, they are often larger in dimensions and heavier in weight.
Parents of twins will need a stroller that offers the same seating arrangement as their children. They will probably also need a stroller that can accept two infant car seats simultaneously, something that very few of our top-rated double strollers do. Twins who are near in age or ability might be better off with the tandem stroller, but the seating arrangement will also depend on the distance between them in terms of age and what features they prefer.
In our tests, we found that all of the tandem strollers that we tested were easy to maneuver and had a a wide turning radius. They didn't turn as well in tight spaces as a single-stroller and it could be difficult to maneuver around curbs. The majority of the strollers we tested fit through the majority of doors that are standard, but they may have a more narrow aisle than a single stroller.
A few strollers that we tested could be used with an additional toddler seat, however, they did not permit you to swap seats in and out which could be beneficial when your children are of opposite age ranges. The UPPAbaby Vista V2 Double is an exception to this rule, and allows you to easily change between double and single mode by using its convertible frame.
We've tested the top double strollers on the market. They offer the convenience of keeping both children within reach at all times, and come with plenty of storage space for your items. Some include parent consoles to assist you in keeping track of your child's wants and requirements. They're typically more expensive than a single stroller however, some come with price tags that are comparable to or less than those of our top single strollers.
