The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which comprises linoleum in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms and also a medium-pile and a large rug. It was capable of driving up to walls and even across thresholds that are raised without issue. However it had some issues getting down the stairs in one pass. The S1 also did a fantastic job of cleaning hard floors with its mop that moved smoothly on the flat side against the floor and lifting itself when it was near carpet or rug.
Prior to each mopping session the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills the water tank with clean ozonated filtered water. The dock provides a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1 water tank is able to hold up to 12 mopping sessions, however this will differ depending on the frequency you use the mop.
