World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.
If the template for upgrading a weapon is %, it will be able to gain 3% of its previous damage for every time it's upgraded.
Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost rises with item's level.
Components
Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to provide them with a boost in stats or an extra effect. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level for a component to be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging ascended gear or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade may be prefixed or a suffix that alters the name of the equipment with which it is used (for instance "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to make stronger versions of the equipment using less Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.
A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defense attributes of an armored weapon or. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop, or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.
The player can have up to five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of how much it will improve after a future reset.
The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process could be costly, and there is a high possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break if it fails. A failed upgrade will ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that double or even eliminate possibility of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade components that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the effectiveness of all nodes in the area around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as you can to level 15.
It is commonplace to see in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes much faster.
Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced, however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with a different Glyph with the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the glyph.
There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs then you have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that boosts a specific set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Using the Glyph will boost all nodes that are linked to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids, for example should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.
Leveling
The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the effectiveness of specific items by putting upgraded components into them. This is referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab of crafting tables. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. When enough points have been earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and get its extra bonuses.
When an individual player improves a piece of equipment, the base item will be replaced by a new Best item upgrade. The same armor will receive an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This could be a disadvantage, as the item can become more expensive even if you do not require it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that has a level 1 basis and totally different bonuses. This can be beneficial however it should not be used frequently as it could waste resources.
Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times, increasing their value and giving players the ability to alter their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like dolphins). It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the max roll by 10 points. This item is very important in PvP. A properly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of the non-upgraded counterpart.
Requirements
The upgrade of items allows players to upgrade the quality of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by presenting the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense, while upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal and also increase their strength and dexterity.
Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear that can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Each when you upgrade an item, it is given a chance to fail--the rate of failure increases as you go beyond the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can result in the item returning to its original state, which requires the player to spend additional materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.
If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it has gained, such as the chance to crit attack damage, other effects (such as an increase in healing over time, or the speed of reloading). However, the user can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
When an item upgrader mod, visit web site, is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded increases its crit chance that it will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is calculated every time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for example, a common equipment item might have 5 upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero quality items will have an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.
Premium items could have different upgrade requirements than standard gear. For example they might require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. Regardless, the player will have to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each upgrade of equipment requires different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the costs mentioned above.
