It's also a bit sporadic when it returns to the charging station following the course. Other robots can follow a wall or trace the previous route, but the RX3 is a mess until it quits.
We also encountered issues with the smart features of the device, including its mapping feature and digital stay-out zones. While it did a great job of keeping away from our shoes and furniture legs however, it was easily caught by cables and socks and was unable to handle the tassels on carpets. That's why we chose not to include it on our Best Buy list. The Scout RX3 offers a good price and impressive performance. It's worth considering as an alternative to the traditional uprights.
