It is crucial to ensure that when you choose a new set upvc lever pad handles, they match the PZ (distance from the spindle of the handle to the center of the hole in the cylinder) of your multipoint door locks. This is because these are required to be aligned for the doors to stay locked, regardless of whether you are looking from the outside or inside. Our handles are designed to fit a wide range of standard cylinders, but it is a good idea to double glazed window handles-check before ordering.

Once you have removed the screws holding the door locking window handle you have, it is a good idea to loosen them and inspect the mechanism to determine what condition it is in. If the screws aren't loose enough then you might need to loosen them more. After that, you can take the spindle from the handle and replace it with your new Upvc handle. Before you screw the handle into the frame, it is a good idea to check that it is in the correct place. You can do this by inserting your finger into the gap between the door frame and the door handle to make sure it is in a level position.
Lever/Lever

They come in two forms, having a lever on the interior and a paddle on the outside. Non-sprung: These do NOT have a mechanism for bringing the handle lever to a horizontal position.
To fix the door handle for patio door lever that is sliding, you'll need to find the hole or detent access pin. This is usually small, protruding ring or rectangular found on the handle base plate. Once located you can loosen the set screw with a screwdriver and remove it to release the lever to return to its horizontal position.
Once the handle is in a horizontal position you can put the screws back in place and tighten them so that the handle is fixed to the base plate. You may want to apply a threadlocking solution to the threads of the screw to increase grip and prevent them from loosing over time.
Drooping lever handles for upvc windows on door handles could be the result of various causes. The most common reason is that the fixings aren't tight which causes the lever bearing to bind against the door. It is also possible that the levers may not have been operated at the correct angle, which causes compression of the latch mechanism, preventing it from fully springing into motion.
A common cause of a sprung lever not working properly is that the spring is not being in the proper position on the backplate. The most effective way to determine this is to turn the handle to see if it returns to the horizontal position.
If your door handles are loose it is important to identify the problem quickly, as this could lead to excessive wear on the screws and possibly to the handle falling off of the base plate. It is also a good idea to tighten all screws that are loose on a regular basis, as this will help to prevent them from becoming loose.
