The best robot hoover (www.V0795.com) can clean and mop without requiring your attention. It leaves your floors spotless. Its price is affordable and its high-end features (such as a dirt detectors) are a plus.

1. Roomba Q5 pro
The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive cousin, the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we've tested. They have motors that are top-of-the line and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. Like other top iRobot models (including the top-rated model) they employ intelligent mapping technology to create precise floor plans and eliminate common obstacles like cords and furniture legs. The robots that vacuum and mop also come with a feature called Carpet Boost which boosts its power when it senses dirt on the carpet.
The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored extremely well in our tests of floors with no carpet and are especially adept at cleaning dog hair. However, they have several flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. One of them is that the Q5's navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacle avoidance which means it's susceptible to getting hung up on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate rooms with a lot of people efficiently in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera to look around corners.
It's still a good value for those whose office or home has a lot of unfinished floors and you're looking to save some money. It's also very quiet and can be used when you're at work or in school. The only thing it's missing that you don't get in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. It's also less effective in mopping. It is dependent on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with an auto-emptying dock, however. If you're in need of it, the mopping pad can be swapped for an awe-inspiring one in a matter of minutes.
2. iRobot Roomba X30
The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming into a sleek, compact package. Its quick navigation and smart cleaning maps make it quick to clean and effective at taking on larger particles, such as pet hair. It also has strong suction and self-emptying bin. It's the most efficient robotic hoover for carpets, but it falls behind some competitors in terms of deep cleaning.
This high-performance vacuum and mop utilizes sensors to avoid obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the patterns of your home over time and provide cleaner and more efficient cleaning. You can modify its cleaning schedule and customize zones with the well-designed app. Its battery life is average when compared to similar models.
You can tell the X30 Ultra to remove its mops and extend them when in a carpeted area to prevent cross-contamination. Its flex arm is great for getting under low-lying furniture and along baseboards. It doesn't perform as well on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.
In tests during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop that could complete an entire house, finishing with the battery at 66 percent left. It also did an excellent job cleaning a variety of floors and rooms that had mixed flooring types, including certain area carpets. Its obstacle detection was superb and it stayed clear of fake dog turds and socks, shoes, and bundles of cables.
It's more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but has superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It even cleans the floor after vacuuming, a feature that hasn't been seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combos.
3. iRobot Roomba X40
The robot vacuum and mop combination is sleek and has a circular design that looks more like the regular Roomba unit than the boxy models of the competition. It's one of our most attractive looking robot vacuums. The newest model from iRobot is among the most intelligent, with advanced features including enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can autonomously wash mop pads).
It's also the only robotic vacuum or mop that scored an absolute 10 out of 10 in our testing. This is due to a combination high-tech sensors, including a structured light system, camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that is fully self-refill and empty its base station and boasts an industry-leading 12,000Pa suction and self-cleaning mop pads.
The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is simple to operate. It has an intuitive mobile application interface and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that it's still quite an eerily noisy device which could be an issue if you use it in the morning before work or in the evening as you attempt to sleep.
It's also a bit expensive, but not as much as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally capable and better looking. If you're willing to put up some more volume and a little more cost this is a efficient two-in-one device that should please almost everyone.
iRobot L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop with many advanced features that let you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning machine that is similar to Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It has a multifunction dock which automatically empty the vacuum's bin and fills up the water tank, and cleans and dry the mop pads.
The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to create floorplans and identify obstacles. It navigates more intelligently than its competitors with premium features. It also has a front mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time however this was not foolproof in our tests and was sometimes confused with obstructions or power cords.
Its vacuum has a high suction capacity of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to complete the task. It also features "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates how hard the automatic vacuum cleaner works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the home depending on the amount of dirt they are.
For larger homes, it's worth opting for one with zone or spot cleaning modes that allow you to tell the robot to clean one particular area of your house by using the app or via voice commands. If you have furniture, a stair mode is also useful. For families with busy schedules, a recharge function and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to continue from where it left off could be extremely useful.
iRobot RX3
The RX3 is more intelligent than its price suggests. It has a great vacuuming performance and was able to remove 55% of debris in our tests. (It was only second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with a single pad that uses a reciprocating motion, which does a better job cleaning than the other mop cleaners for robots we've tried. And it's highly self-sufficient with a full-featured application and an auto-emptying washable base.
The iRobot app is designed to help you navigate the mapping process, which gathers information on your floorplan as well as any "no go" areas that you've marked on the map. You can use it to create cleaning schedules, set up an area for cleaning or to prioritize your most filthy rooms to improve performance. The app comes with a variety of features, including seasonal suggestions, custom mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.
It can also reach corners and under furniture more easily because its shape is more rectangular. It also has a strong suction of 8,000 Pascal suction and intelligent combs for hair of pets. It also has the ability to set up a spot clean that thoroughly cleans a particular area.
The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD offers a sleeker and less expensive alternative to iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras look like cute eyes. It does a great job vacuuming, however it is more likely to be stuck on low thresholds. It also has a higher noise than other top robot vacuum with mop vacuums that we've examined. It also has a less intuitive app and a small base station that can't be used as an emptying bin.
