World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
Item upgrades allow players to increase the level of weapons and armor that are equippable. This boosts the stats of that equipment, and also sometimes adding buffs or rerolling an affix.
It is important to remember that even though you can upgrade your magic and common equipment, it is generally not worth the effort. Rare and unique equipment will quickly surpass the standard gear and upgraded magic.
Cost
If a player wants to upgrade an item, they have to pay Gold for the upgrade. The cost to upgrade an item depends on the item's current status and type of upgrade. For instance upgrading a weapon is generally be less expensive than upgrading armor, as weapons have lower level requirements. The amount of Gold required to upgrade an item increases as the item is upgraded to a higher level.
A newly upgraded item upgrader kit will also have increased stats, which can boost its performance in many ways. This could mean increasing the power of its attack and critical strike chance or damage per second. An upgraded item may also provide additional buffs to the unit it's equipped with. These upgrades are able to boost the overall strength of a group or individual unit, and can have a significant impact on the gameplay.
Items can be upgraded at any NPC who is an upgrader in the game. These NPCs can be found in major questing areas or capital cities. Players can also find item upgraders when they visit dungeons with high-level bosses, and by chatting with NPCs in their garrisons for their faction.
The World of Warcraft item upgrade system lets players increase the level of weapons, armor and trinkets. This procedure is similar to the reforging of gear in Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor. However instead of using currency, players need to visit an item upgrader to complete the process.
Item upgrades can be costly, especially when it comes to weapons and armor. Based on the upgrade path you choose, each item level increase will cost Valorstones or Crests. The total costs can be a major burden for players who do not have the resources or aren't willing to grind them.
The game allows you to roll a new item by using a specific tool from the menu of items. This option will replace the upgraded item with a level 1 version that offers different bonuses. This is a great way to gain better results on items that are already upgraded. However, it can also be a waste.
Requirements
The process of upgrading equippable items like weapons, armor and trinkets is to raise the item level upgrade level. This increases their effectiveness and makes them more effective in battle. The initial upgrades only boost the stats of the base item by one level, but later upgrades offer more substantial enhancements. Upgrades from level 3 to 6 will increase the weapon's damage by two levels. In addition the upgraded item will get a bonus stat, which is based on the tier it's in. The bonus consists of a substat that is guaranteed and an undetermined stat that will change from upgrade to upgrade.
Reroll Tokens can be used to reroll an item that has been upgraded. The new item comes with a different set of extra bonuses, and a lower level of the item. The rerolled item will also have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to note that the item rerolled will not retain its level or have any of its wasted resources.
Some upgraded items are only able to be rerolled only if the original item was a Unique Epic, Rare or Rare. Exceptional items can also be rerolled but the original stats are replaced by an uncapped bonus. Rerolling an item that is Rare or Epic item will produce the normal version, and doing the same with the Epic version will result in an elite version.
An upgraded item may also have extra modifiers, which can increase the stats of the item and enhance its performance. These additional modifiers are not included in the upgrade cost. You can buy them at the Trading Post, or through other players. They can also be earned through completing certain tasks in the game.
To upgrade an equipment piece, you need to visit the NPC [Armorto upgrade an item, visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. You will need Power Dices depending on the item. (Dice 6 can be dropped by monsters 21+, Giants and Bosses; Dice 12 can be found from Bosses). You will also require different amounts of Minerals, Erons and Giants.
Time
Upgrades to items can be used to boost the power of your ship and gear without the need to level them. While it's not cheap, it can be an excellent way to increase your stats without having to spend as much time in combat. It's important to know the benefits and costs prior to making the investment of time or money.
Each upgrade boosts the stats of the item's base by to a certain extent and also offers the chance of obtaining an additional substat. The random substat may range from a small boost to a much larger boost. It is recommended to concentrate on the most effective items in the slot first, since they will yield a higher return for your investment.
You can check the amount of time needed to complete an upgrade when you open your inventory and select the weapon, ship or other accessory. The upgrade window will show the progress and expected completion time. In some cases you may be able speed the process of upgrading by applying an Glyph.
Black Lion Salvage or Ascended Salvage sell a high-level salvage kit that allows you to recover all or part of the upgrade components. This does not apply to legendary equipment or upgrades that can only be recovered using an upgrade extractor or returning the item to the Karma retailer.
Take advantage of the benefits
The upgrading of items grants players currency and a variety of items. Additionally, every upgrade has a chance to grant a random extra stat bonus. The bonus value is different for each upgrade, and is generally higher for rarer items. Players can conduct the Great Vault search to see whether an item can be upgraded prior to spending tickets. The search can also help determine if the item is of the appropriate level and if the player would benefit from an upgrade.
During the process of upgrading an item will gradually increase to the next level, however, it isn't always able to reach the fully upgraded bar. This process is based on Growthstones and Sollant however there is a chance of getting an upgraded item in just one cycle. The higher the levels an item gains the more stat value will be, and the more items can be upgraded.
Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons, or armor in order to gain an attribute bonus or to create a unique effect while the equipment is being worn. Certain upgrade components can be equipped with additional cosmetic effects. Upgrade components can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors or the Trading Post, looting or receiving as a gift. In addition players can find upgraded items by using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them using a top-quality salvage kit. Glyphs that are placed on gathering tools are able to be swapped.
The player can transform an item into a different upgradeable item by selecting it and pressing the green button with an arrow that indicates reroll. This will change the layout of the item's window and allow players to select up to six items to "recycle". The item that is recycled can be exchanged for a level 1 item of the same type. Recycled items will not keep their status or the amount of resources used to upgrade them.
The maximum level of upgrade for an item is determined by the item's level and its quality. Common items can be upgraded to the maximum level of six while Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to level nine. The upgrades to items are added to its base statistics. This means that they won't increase in the future after a certain level.
