World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrade feature for items allows players to upgrade their existing equipment. This can be accomplished by any item upgrader NPC.
Generally upgrades increase an items main stat and give it extra benefits, based on the item type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs, or Goldwrap for casting builds.
Armour
Link's armor is a key element in keeping him safe from danger. While it isn't able to be upgraded like weapons, it is possible to improve its defence capabilities in a variety of ways.
The fundamental idea behind armour is to shield a person or animal from physical harm or injury whether from physical attack or an array of dangers to the environment or activity. In the past, armour was primarily made of leather or fabric but later, protections made of metal were used as well, especially in military applications like heavy cavalry and combat drones.
There are many ways to upgrade items armour however, the majority require you to visit one of four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain provides a different level of upgrade and more protection levels requiring more rupees and other materials.
The first thing to note about Armor Upgrades is that they are permanent upgrades which means that after they've been put in place, they cannot be replaced unless you have another piece of equipment that has the same upgrade item. You should only apply the most powerful upgrades to your equipment and make sure that you have the materials required to complete them.
In terms of acquiring the upgrade components needed to upgrade your character, they are available all over Hyrule, including shrines, shops and even enemies. These will generally be marked with a gold circle or a blue triangle symbol and are available in large numbers as you move through the game. They can appear randomly, however there is a chance that obtaining certain upgrades can trigger a quest that will reward you with more.
It's also worth noting that, even though the level of protection provided by each upgrade varies however, it's the same for all upgrades and will always be better than nothing. A full set of upgraded armor will give you a powerful defense boost that will protect against any kind of attack, except magic. This makes it a powerful weapon for any class.
Weapons
If you're looking to make your guns truly unique, you can upgrade them with a variety upgrades. These can increase damage, change the weapon's stats so that they are suited to your specific build and even unlock new attachments, such as unique ammo types, enchantments and other options for aesthetics.
To upgrade a weapon, you'll need an upgrade component available as well as the item itself. The weapon must be at a minimum of a certain level before you can upgrade it. Most weapons only accept a single upgrade.
There are weapons upgrade components scattered throughout the globe and from the hands of enemies or bought from a merchant. Upgrade components are made up of ingredients that you can slot into weapons, armors trinkets, gathering tools and trinkets in order to gain an attribute bonus. They require the equipment to be of a certain level to be able to take the upgrade. They can be upgraded in the same way as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a mixture of Smithing Stones and Runes, and are used for enhancing the base stats of a weapon and improving its scaling with other stats. These upgrades can be obtained from enemies in the open world or from merchants. They can also be dropped by combat.
There are two NPCs who can upgrade your weapons: the Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub area and the Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor hub area. Both of these NPCs will take your Smithing Stones and Runes in exchange for a more powerful version of the weapon as well as an upgrade.
Prioritize upgrading your most-used slot items first. Then, upgrade the items that you won't replace soon. Upgrade your weapon first, then upgrade your chest, shoulders hands, feet, and hands in case you intend to play an asymmetrical build. The same principles apply to Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that some items may be better than others based on the style of play you prefer. Armour is no different, with some reforges better than others.
Magic Items
A character can upgrade only one item of magic at one time. If an upgrade project is canceled and the next upgrade for the item will not start. Magic items that are upgraded cost twice the gold they would normally cost to create or purchase however they may offer additional benefits.
A magical item is an item that has special properties or effects. The majority of these items are weapons, but there are some that are also armor, shields, cloaks, potions, rings, scrolls and other items. Some of these items have a sense of being.
Many magic items can have their abilities enhanced. This can make them more useful to players or help players overcome difficult situations. Infused weapons can offer an additional amount of damage to a specific kind of enemy, for example. This is particularly useful for characters who have reached a level where they are likely to encounter a particular type of monster repeatedly in the dungeons.
A ring that is infused can grant the ability to resist piercing, bludgeoning, or slashing damage from nonmagical attacks (not including silver-plated ones) until the next time the character takes a lengthy rest. This is especially beneficial for combatants who are melee, or any character who wishes to get rid of the hassle and expense of buying shields.
Some enchanted items have special powers that let the character cast spells in addition to those listed on the list of spells for their class. This is useful for characters who have trouble keeping their spell slots full because of multiclassing. These magical objects require an Intelligence check (Arcana), and the spell is determined by rolling a table that is based on the number of Intelligence points expended.
Other enchanted objects might permit the character's appearance to be altered, or they could even create a brand new one. They can be especially useful for those who have to leave their homes, or are in a location where they may not be accepted. An enchanted item might provide them with an invisibility effect, or even make them invisible to anyone but a select few.
Utility Items
Utility items are equipment that do not fit into the categories of Clothing, Armor or Weapons and have various capabilities. Contrary to Weapons and Armor they are not a single utility item that will be in conflict with the other. The majority of utility items have an effect that a player can activate by using them however, some come with additional capabilities that are activated when the user presses the button or activates a skill.
Generally speaking, the most popular kind of utilitarian item is the Flashlight that illuminates the surrounding area. Other utility items include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player float in mid-air while moving, and the Jetpack that allows him to accelerate in any directions when on the ground. In the Engineering section, you can create instantly a variety of useful items, while others are unlocked by Research projects or experimental projects on the Proving Ground.
Players can unlock more powerful utility items in addition to the ones available in their regular inventory by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Some of these items can be upgraded to allow more efficient use.
Most utility items enhance the combat ability of a particular character or give the player a kind of navigation advantage. Sharpening stones, crafted by a Weaponsmith will increase power and Ferocity, while Maintenance Oils, created by an Huntsman, increase Concentration and healing power. Other items of utility such as Writs or Theses created by the Scribe, can be used to give players either a boost in damage or condition damage.
All XCOM soldiers are capable of equipping one useful Best item upgrader at the beginning of the campaign. Eventually, an additional slot becomes available by equipping certain types of armor or completing engineering research or experiments in the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots can be obtained by equipping the Grenade Launcher. This allows the player to make use of an Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade is kept in the main slot.
