It's among our most appealing looking robot vacuums. iRobot's latest flagship model also happens to be its smartest model, with features that are cutting-edge like Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads).
It's also the only robotic vacuum or mop that scored a perfect 10 out of 10 in our tests. This is thanks to a combination high-tech sensors including a structured lighting system, a camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that is fully self-refill and empty its base station and it boasts its own self-cleaning mop pads.
The X40, like other iRobot products, is easy to use. It comes with a simple mobile application interface and integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that the X40 still a loud unit. This can be a problem in the mornings before work or during the night when you are trying to fall asleep.

It can be used to make cleaning schedules, arrange an area for cleaning or to sort out your rooms with the most dirt to ensure better performance. The app has a range of features, including seasonal suggestions, custom mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.
It can also reach corners and under furniture better because its shape is more rectangular. It also has strong suction of 8,000 Pascal suction and intelligent combs for pet hair. And you can set up a spot cleaning that scours a specific area.
